WOD – July 2

My (Andrea) favourite trainer, Ross Enamait shows you how the rope’s supposed to fly!  No, it’s not in fast forward….

WOD:

• Row 1,000m

So, we’re missing Shawn lately.  If you’ve been looking for him, he’s WAY up north doing a relief duty for 1 month in Coral Harbour, Nunavut.  Here’s a brief update from him today and a great scenic pic.  More to come as he sends them.

“Here is a few pics of the last few days of policing in the North…It is beautiful here you have everything all on one big island….as you drive along you will go from rocky fields to shale rock to grassy moss to anything else….and you will be standing in one area where there is a river rushing by you on one side and snow covered ice river on the other side of you….It is amazing to see how people live outside the big city’s and how we live off the land here….

For all you meat lovers out there we just had very freshly killed Caribou roast last night and today we are going to BBQ up another roast….I have had fresh Arctic Char (like Salmon) that has been hickory smoked….Better than Sushi….

It is a great experience up here, for the most part the Inuit are friendly and the kids are always running up to you or waving as you drive by…. Oh and i was out for a run this morning and I came up over a hill and Blam right off to the right of me was a big Caribou…Of course perfect picture moment when I didn’t have one right….It ran away of course but it was really neat to see….
