clean & jerk
- 3-3-3-3-3 reps
then
5 rounds for time of:
- 7 L-pull ups
- 14 ring dips
- 3 sprints
This past week, Mark & Heather were away on a family vacation in Florida. They managed to sneak in a WOD or 2 at CrossFit FireBase.
“Man you can’t believe how much a part of your life CrossFit is until you don’t do it for a while. We went to Fire Base CrossFit and met a bunch of great people who were very friendly and nice. There seems to be a universal CrossFit friendliness when you travel. It was what we needed. Nice warm outside runs and open doors with kettlebells GHD’s and box jumps.”

I have to give a little shout out to Annie this morning! Way to go on those 95lb Clean & Jerks! You make it look SO EASY!
Adam and I decided to take CrossFit to our school’s weight room today since we couldn’t make it into Firepower. As we’re doing DT (5 rounds of 12 deadlifts, 9 hang cleans, 6 push jerks), we got the most bewildered stares from those silly guys on the peck deck, squat machine, etc. We were even asked “What ARE you training for??”
Just thought it was funny to see people’s reactions =P
Awesome Vik…preaching the gospel of crossfit to the uninitiated!! The 5 pm class rocked! Sometimes coaching can be very rewarding, tonight was just that…people pushing hard and going for it!
That’s awesome VIk. I’m jealous. I so want to go to Premier and knock off ‘Murphy’ or something insane just for the reaction.
I used to get asked that all the time at Goodlife….”What are you training for?” My response was always the same……life.
This was usually followed by a second look of bewilderment…
EXACTLY Kim! When we said “Uh, we just do this for fun…”, its was like a “Wow. You ARE crazy then” sorta look
