Hey is this mike getting ready for his Clean and Jerk session?
Great WOD this morning… The double unders really slowed me down! My first round was 0% (20 attempts) – talk about frustrating. It was definitely a great workout to get the practice for those suckers though, because by my eighth round I could do about 6 in a row (with a few singles thrown in between), and was able to complete 17 out of the 20 properly! Hooray!
36:30 Rx’d Damn those double unders! Practise….Practise….Practise
… time to take out that skipping rope Andrea got me for Christmas. This morning was an unfortunate humbling experience in dbl unders
BUT on the positive side of things I was able to hammer out the pullups all unassisted.. that darn chronic elbow thing is slowly passing. Thanks for the Glucosamine-Chondroitin tip Brian.. that may have something to do with the elbow getting better.
27:50 red band pull ups, 6 rounds 45 lbs, 1 round 65 lbs, 6 rounds GHD Mark told me to stop since I have never done those before so I don’t keel over in pain….my mat leave is over and I am back at work : ( Thank goodness I have been practising my dbl unders 6 rounds of 20 in a row.
Question: Are we more worried about time on these workouts since they are for cardio? or should we be increasing our weights and not worrying too much about our time?
Thanks to Mark and Andrea of Firepower for letting me join in the classes tonight. Also I would like to thank all those who participated in the WOD. All of you worked very hard. I hope my coaching was able to help…..
Hope to work with you guys again soon
Thanks
Matt
