Train With Team FirePower To Improve Your Team’s Performance
FirePower Training provides a break in routine and adds variety and intensity to your overall training program. Many elite athletes and team sports such as hockey, soccer, football, and lacrosse use FirePower CrossFit and Boxing to improve athletic performance and physical confidence. Classes are also a superior form of conditioning training through high intensity intervals.
Sport-specific conditioning also includes BOSU workouts, medicine ball, ladders, plyometrics and sprinting drills. During the boxing training sessions, athletes use hand wraps and boxing gloves for protection, support and safety.
The Details:
- FirePower Training can accommodate sports teams large and small. Preferable size is 15 to 18 players.
- Minimum team size is 10 participants.
- Various ages of teams welcome. i.e. ages 10 to 18, adult teams
- Team training sessions are 1 hour private sessions dedicated entirely to the team-specific training requirements.
- Costs depend on number of participants. Minimum cost is $250 per session to secure time slot.
- 8 week minimum program.

Typical 1-Hour CROSSFIT Class
- Warm up and Stretch (10 min)
- Teaching form Olympic lifts (15 min)
- CrossFit Workout (25 min)
- Cool Down and Stretch (10 min)
Warm up and Stretch
- The warm up and stretch will involve both dynamic and static stretching designed to prepare the athletes for the rest of the session. Focus will be on functional, controlled movements, and flexibility.
- Using dowels/PVC pipe we will teach Olympic lifts. The focus will be on form and flexibility. We have found in the past with our younger athletes that teaching these lifts at an early age allows for faster gains later when the individuals body is able to begin lifting increased weight.
CrossFit Workout
- The CrossFit workout will be different every day except for the first and last session. The work out during the first and last session will be timed, and will act as a gauge for overall improvement over the total number of classes. Youth CrossFit workout will encompass everything from un-weighted form lifts, to cardio activities, and will be explained at the beginning of each class.
Cool Down and Stretch
- Flexibility is perhaps as vital to an athlete’s success as speed or strength. Flexibility limits and prevents injury and acts as the foundation of every type of lift and exercise. Every session will end with a cool down activity and a full stretch.

Incorporating FirePower Boxing into the team training sessions will provide high intensity cardio endurance, coordination, and balance. Boxing will also significantly improve an athlete’s confidence, assertiveness and athletic presence on and off the ice or field.
