FirePower Hockey


Team FirePower conducts an intensive summer program for hockey players.  Strong focus is placed on progressive strength improvement, superior cardio conditioning, athletic assertiveness, intensity, and emotional intelligence to play at a professional hockey level.  Athletes are expected to be committed to every workout, maximize their training time, and work in a team environment through the majority of workouts.

Senior Summer Hockey Program

  • Ages 16 & up
  • Referral or invite only: primarily for OHL and NHL athletes.
  • Special allowances can be made on individual assessment of skill, commitment, and coachability.
  • 5 days per week of Olympic lifting, CrossFit, Boxing, and on-ice training.
  • Training starts in early morning.  Timeslots depend of group assignments.
  • July & August.  Early start available in May for athletes who have completed school.
  • $2,000 + GST

Junior Summer Hockey Program

  • Ages 13 to 15
  • Training includes Olympic Lifting techniques and skill development, CrossFit core strength & conditioning, and boxing training for confidence and coordination.
  • Training time is mid-morning and depends on group assignment.
  • 8 weeks of training; July 5 to August 27, 2010
  • 4 sessions per week; Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri
  • $1100+GST.

Special Option for 2010: Junior athletes may participate in ice sessions.  Additional cost $250.

Introduction to Off-Season Training

  • Ages 10 to 12 – suitable for Minor Atom & Peewee
  • Training will introduce athletes to Olympic Lifting techniques and skill development, CrossFit core strength & conditioning, and boxing training for confidence and coordination.
  • 6 weeks of training; July 13 to August 19, 2010
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays;  
  • $300+GST.
